Ryia, a girl from the office, Lida, and Mila To
celebrate women's day (like mother's day, but for all women), my boss MIla (on
the right), invited all of the staff at the school out for a meal. We had a great
time! In Russia they celebrate men's day in addition to women's day, but in Uzbekistan
they don't because they say every other day of the year is already men's day
since it is such a patriarchal society.
The woman second from the right is Lida, the Korean teacher I've been tutoring.
She's asked me to live with her this coming year.
